A friend of mine brought her dog in to get groomed and upon his pick up the attendant referred to the temperament of her beloved Ringo as 'confident... Yet not cocky.' Those are words the live, yet today, I leaned a little too far to the cocky side and it resulted in a commuting adventure gone awry.

Let the saga begin... The highs and lows of a commuting life...

Today was the end of a 6 stay journey on the road and as I checked in at what I thought was an hour before my flight, I was feeling “confident” that I had plenty of time to meet a friend for lunch before I needed to head to the gate. As I was enjoying my delicious tomato bisque at Squatters in SLC terminal 2 (this is a must eat for those of you passing through), I had a feeling I should check to see if my flight was delayed before I rushed off to D8 for my departure which was still 30 minutes away. What? in bold red the board flashed CLOSED! What? How can this be? Oh no, I had the wrong departure time, I was 15 minutes late. In hopes that the flight would remain open for me... I sprinted to my gate (a 10 minute leisurely walk) luckily I had checked my roller board. The reader board was right, the flight was already closed. I was early for once in my life and I missed my flight! So why the oversight? I decided to make my flight plans for the next month all at once and after looking at 8 different flight times, the only one that stuck in my head was the wrong one for the day and thus the dreadful missed flight. So what did I do? I went back to Squatters of course and enjoyed another cup of that amazing tomato bisque!
